Simon Beckett

Simon was appointed on 17 June 2026. He is a member of Heartland Bank Australia’s Audit Committee, Risk Committee, and People, Remuneration and Nominations Committee.

With over 30 years’ experience in the financial services sector, Simon is an experienced Non-Executive Director and Chair, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, local growth and international expansion. He has held executive leadership positions within multinational organisations including General Electric, Wells Fargo and Cerberus, with expertise across risk, strategy and commercial functions in the USA, UK, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand).

Simon has a proven track record helping CEOs and Executive teams build and grow businesses. His most recent executive role was with Angle Auto, a Cerberus company, where he supported the acquisition of the Motor Finance business from Westpac, initially serving as the Chief Risk Officer and Responsible Manager, before becoming Chief Commercial Officer.

Simon is a director of a number of Australian public and private companies, including Chair of Karia Technology Pty and Fund2Market Holdings Pty (trading as Banjo), Director of Heartland Group, First Avenue Capital Pty, First Avenue Ventures Pty and ORDE Financial Pty, and Advisor to Fintorq Technology Pty, Soda Capital Pty, and Plenti Pty.
